# /agents Command

> Open the Agents & shells dock.

Type `/agents` in the chat to open the **Agents & shells** dock without sending anything to your task. It's the same panel the **Agents & shells** button above the message box opens.

From the dock you can:

* See every background agent run, grouped into **Working** and **Finished**, with live activity and full transcripts.
* **Stop** or **Resume** a run, or open an agent's definition file.
* Create a new agent with **New agent**.
* Switch to the **Shells** tab to watch or stop dev servers and other long-running commands.

To give an agent a task, mention it in a message with `@agent:name`. See [Background Agents](/features/background-agents) and [Background Shells](/features/background-shells).
